3 stars This EP is leavings from "Falling Satellites". One item lacking on this, keyboard dominated, release is the stellar guitar work of John Mitchell. In fact, I don't hear any. What a shame. He is a big part of this band and without his input, the music is not as strong.

Musically, "Exhibit A" is a highlight. Love the relentless pounding rhythm during the 'we own you' part. Is that the chorus? "Eat" is a bit different, incorporating a funky groove with some EDM beats. The other songs have moments, but not enough to keep my interest.

The production is not for me. Drums sound like a static distorted mess. Cymbals are completly lost in the mix. The effect Jem uses on his vocal is distracting. All instruments blend into over- processed sonic destruction for me. Each consecutive Frost* release sounds harsher and it takes away from my enjoyment of the music.

So overall, it's not the best Frost* I've heard. I still look forward to their next LP. Hopefully filled with John's guitar magic and a better mix.
