3 stars Frost* is back four years after the birth of the excellent album 'Falling Satellites', the band masterminded by Jem Godfrey has released an EP of re-worked leftovers from the sessions of this very album. At a running time of approximately 32 minutes, this could have easily been turned into an LP +/- one more track.

The six songs are obviously divided into two halves: the first three being fast, punchy, energetic and in-your-face, and the other three representing the more mellow and moody side of Frost*. Listening to them, I really can't see any of them sitting that well on 'Falling Satellites'. I would say they work well on their own, but not that comprehensive as a collection. So, good call by Jem to leave them out.

Still, the songs are decent, and moreover, the guys in Frost* are too talented and experienced to make something really bad , certainly memorable (most of them) but they don't really feel like a band effort. The EP is full of really cool keyboard sounds and techniques but one can hardly hear the guitars, the bass, or even real drums.

'Others' feels too much like a Jem Godfrey solo release. This EP is good for sure but doesn't have the same value as the studio albums. Still, I would say it would be enjoyable for Frost* fans.
