YES changed with a 180° spin

90125 is a kind of YES inclusion into the 80's pop music. It is maybe not a Progressive Rock record, but the songs in here are not a total waste. "Owner of a lonely heart" is evidently different from everything YES made before: the riff is totally contagious and the rhythm is kind of silly. "It can happen" has a nice sitar arrangement mixed with pop-rock. "Cinema" is probably the closest the album got to Progressive Rock: it has an instrumental middle section with a little resemblance to "Drama".

This is one of those albums that I like until I realize who made it: this is good but if only the band would have changed its name it would be much better. This is not at all similar to any YES album from the '70s.

Not their best album but certainly not their worse either
