4 stars Only their second album and Yes is already experimenting with a full orchestra! I mean, for such a young band, that is a pretty bold move, one that certainly paid off. The orchestral arrangements are beautiful, honestly i am surprised that they had to wait over 30 years to try it again (with their 2001 album "Magnification"). This is their last album to feature their original guitarist Peter Banks. Honestly, it is a mystery to me why they replaced him, i mean, i could certainly not say that Banks is better than Steve Howe, but heck, he was a really good guitarist. His guitar work on this album is superb, pure gold. His guitar solos really shine on this album, I love the guitar work on this LP. Bill Buford's drums were great as always, and Tony Kaye could certainly play those boards, though he certainly was not as virtuosic a player as Wakeman. All in all, this is a great album, one any prog rock fan could appreciate, especially Yes fans. This would make a great addition to any prog rock collection.
