4 stars A solid live album by one of the important fusion bands, Eleventh House. All players are on top of their game. Coryell includes Spanish guitar on the first played piece to start lightly and presents lightning dexterity on the electric guitar for fusion pieces. Impatiently waiting are other players, Mouzon in particular, that starts the devilish rhythm here that few other fusion drummers could pull out. I love his fill-in on toms. Michael Lawrence keeps the sound close to jazz and gives imaginative melodies. Mouzon's passion for funk is evident in the selection of some pieces like "Joyride". Mandel's keyboards are not as prominent as in other fusion bands but don't lack skills. The 11th house blues is a bluesy fusion with furious guitar and trumpet. The only complaint is a shore running time of this concert.
