4 stars Not sure how to put this--I really like this album and enjoy it but what it is...i'm not exactly sure. My brother Dave would play it out in Oman and late 70's there was a lot of prog around. I lost touch with the album but have remembered most the tracks though I couldn't remember who it was who played them! I was glad to catch up with it in 2009 after some long searching all those years. It's has a veritable all-star line up playing on it. It doesn't have any punchy guitar on it and correctly so--don't think a guitar would work on this. It's more about the piano/keyboards and orchestration of various instruments bordering on classical...at least in it's vituosity. Certainly accomplishment rings through with Wetton, Steve Harley and Andrew McCulloch(who played on Greenslade's Time & Tide (fab also)) on it. It is quite melodic and interesting and very enjoyable and mature and hard to define. It doesn't set your pulse racing although a couple of tracks move along pretty fast. Um....... I don't think there is anything like it that i know of. So, if you want to claim a rounded Prog collection of English late 70's prog rock--- you have to have it. I would very much have liked to have heard it live or for there to be a live album of it. If i ever had a Prog Rock band-would have included some covers of some of these tracks. Get it...if you can find it. Cheers Duncan....where ever you are.
