4 stars This group provides the most zany and bizarre music you could ever hope for. I bought this just because of the cover. I figured cover art like this surely represents truly whacked tunes inside. I was more than elated to hear this hard-to-describe but fun music ensuing, challenging all my jaded expectations. My kids and I used to drive round our neighborhood playing Raymond Scott cartoon tunes and looking for people that matched the music. That was a blast. Well, Amoebic Ensemble, soon became our soundtrack for laughter while cruising our small town. Rude to laugh at people? Whatever . . .

Limbic Rage is truly cartoonish, chamber orchestra antics -- pulled off quite well and with skill. Is it prog? No. Is it rock? No. This release is in a genre all to itself and well worth checking out -- especially if you think as an audiophile -- you have heard everything. You have not heard anything like this stuff! Recommended as mental floss.
