Fortunately, this was GENTLE GIANT's last album, and I say "fortunately" because if this was the best they could offer it was for the best they stopped before they turn even more of a bad band. Maybe I'm not accepting this record or "Giant for a day" because I have the highest expectations when it comes to a GENTLE GIANT record and, clearly, these albums don't reach those expectations.

I don't know, maybe they were evolving into a more complex pop band than average, maybe these two last records were their way of searching for a brand new sound that they would probably find if they had recorded more albums, probably they were really tired or maybe there were inside problems of differences in perspectives, I don't know, the only thing I know is that this album closed the career of one of the most talented Progressive Rock bands ever and it didn't make any justice on what a fan would expect for a closing album.

Even with all of that, this album is not a total waste: it has a couple of songs that are worth to listen once in a while but my recommendation would be to listen to the songs randomly and not waste 32 very valuable minutes of your time.
