3 stars This is the debut album LANDMARK in the beginning seemed to be a very promissing band.Having the strong support from masterimind and multiinstrumentist CLIVE NOLAN- brilliand producer and musical instigator of excellent bands and current values as ARENA-his current priority band ,CAAMORA,STRANGERS ON THE TRAIN,PENDRAGON,SHADOWLAND,CASINO,TRACY HITCHINGS,among other numerous ones, seconded by KARL GROOM-actual leader of TRESHOLD, LANDMARK was a band of very talented musicians with strong ambitions in the beginnings to bring their contribution to the Brit neoprog music! What is really remarkable at this debut album -the maturity of the compositions and strong personality of the band!Very precise musical ideas, very worked at all chapters and especially the nasal voice, with it's unique personality of DAMIAN WILSON,other personality of Brit prog, involved in numerous other musical projects-AYREON,among others! Wilson is a very original vocalist due his unique voice! He is-excuse the comparison-like OZZY OSBOURNE,not a senational vocalist because of the vocal qualities, not at all,but with an unique vocal tone ,instantly recognisable and a decent attitude to offer exactly of what he is capable to do,not forcing the limits ever! That was the mark of ...LANDMARK!Musically speaking, nothing new under the sun of Brit neo-prog-a little Marillion, a little Pendragon, maybee Camel influences too-and the good mayonaise is ready!D ROSE has a particular sound of his guitar since the beginning and that's remarkable too! Overall a very likeble and pleasant album, nothing spectacular os with sparks of genius, but a decent album from a future sure value of the Brit neo prog! 3,5 STARS for a good debut album of a band with personality!
