4 stars Remember the Future is a very good psychedelic rock album by the German band Nektar. The general sound can best be described as Yes meets Pink Floyd, with a bit heavier dose of psychedelic rock. This is a long, trippy album, best listened too with lights down and mind free. The first half is rooted in psychedelic/space prog, and the second sounds more jazzy. The concept is somewhat hard to understand, it apparently involves a bluebird who tells a blind kid about the workings of the universe. It's not one of the better uses of the concept album idea, but still well-made and inspired. This is a very good album with some pretty catchy moments- recommended to fans of Yes, Pink Floyd, and space/psych rock in general.
