4 stars New live album by OT&DO is enjoyable, as usually. This band is governed by Sergey Gorchaninov, talented and skilled composer and keyboard player also known as the creator/organizer of the Babooinumfest - the Russian festival of progressive roch & fusion music. His style is jazz rock / fusion expanded by a journey into some other directions of music. Unlike previous live album recorded at the Place club in 2019, this release is characterized by a presence of new drummer: Anvar Baislamov played on drums instead of Nikita Petrov (at the same time, the bass player is the same: Stanislaw Rybinski, and the guest saxophone player is the same: Pavel Voronkov). Anvar prefers to demonstrate his technique more explicitly than Nikita. For example, you can compare two versions of such highlight as "Circus Burnt" - from this live album and from the 2019 release. Please make it, and you will hear solo on drums by Mr. Baislamov! Anvar is really highly skilled drummer! My personal highlight here is "Irreversibility". Lovely and tender, to a some extent, composition! Some moments remind me TRIUMVIRAT! If you really like electric piano-based instrumental fusion music, you should not skip this album, as well as OT&DO in general. Waiting for the first studio full-length album!
