4 stars PRIMALEÓN is a music project hailing from Argentina. The band serves a somewhat eclectic yet cunning version of progressive metal on this album. Formed by Gabriel Mekler (guitar, programming) in 2015 the line up now is comprised of three relatives (brothers?) possibly, also Dario (lead guitar) and Daniel (vocals). In the consequence, while missing more concrete liner notes, bass, drums as well as keyboards must be covered by the term 'programming' ... well, that's somewhat mysterious, not to believe. I wouldn't waste another thought on it actually, but, the problem is ... eh ... I absolutely like what I hear. And this simply raises way more interest in the whole creation process of 'Systems Of The World'. What is known for sure, this '... is a conceptual piece that speaks metaphorically of changing paradigms in science and in life in general.'

Maybe also interesting to be aware of for one or two, Dario and Gabriel Mekler have produced a lyric video for the Hasse Fröberg & Musical Compagnion album 'We Are The Truth'. Yeah! Now what makes this appealing? The songs are sounding unconventional, totally unpredictable, far away from the mainstream. Melody and avantgarde attitude are in good balance. Also including some native folk and samba impressions the tricky Rite To The Ancient Gods is a stunning sample proving that. The title track Systems Of The World appears to be my album highlight so far. The vehemence convinces, and the vivid bass, contrasted by an atmospheric middle section. When thinking of bands that are somewhat close in sound, Cynic comes into my mind. With 'Systems Of The World' the band have recorded not less than a fabulous album, I recommend to check this out.
