3 stars My travels in Magma land continues with this, their second album.

This album, a socalled Zeuhl album, is basically a jazz album with some added neo- classical, chanting and tribal rhythms. The first song is a twenty minutes long epic called Rïah Sahïltaahk which winds itself through some good jazz passages with some added tribal rhythms and chanting. "Iss" Lanseï Doïa is the second song and jazz pretty much influenced by neo-classical music. The chants are still there. The third track called Ki Ïahl Ö Lïahk is a much more pastoral song than the two other songs. Listen well and you pick up some Genesis vibes from it. The same can be said about Soft Machine vibes although they are far more evident here.

The quality is good throughout. For me, Magma is bordering to being too weird for my tastes and I guess it will take me many years to get through their albums and to develop an appreciation for Zeuhl. But this album is one of the more accessible Zeuhl and Magma albums out there and I pretty much likes it. But there is no really good tracks on this album and I having problems with the genre in general so it is only a three star album in my view.
