5 stars Their best output during the '80s. Unbelievable how they radically changed their sound but remained King Crimson. Despite the fact that only Fripp and Bruford stayed.

Again KC paved the way for others to follow. Just listen to Elephant Talk and then to Jerry was a Racecar Driver from Primus. KC did it better though.

Elephant Talk - Ingenious and catchy start of the album. Very Talking Headsy, especially due to the singing. That said, that's only the surface and KC has layers everywhere. 9/10

Frame by Frame - This is a feat of technical mastery and complex music styles. In itself, this is amazing. But what makes it great is how catchy this song is and how fun it is to listen to. 10/10

Matte Kudasai - A hauntingly beautiful track, especially because of the great slide guitar. 8/10

Indiscipline - Bruford and Fripp are killing it on this track. Gorgeous. 9/10

Thela Hun Ginjeet - Their musical mastery is unbelievable on this track. How on earth can they make something so complex sounds so catchy? I also love Belew's account of a nightly encounter. "It's a dangerous place." 9/10

Sheltering Sky - This is a compelling instrumental. Another highlight on the album for me. All of them shine in their own way. 10/10

Discipline - Another unbelievable instrumental. Belew and Fripp play absurdly well together, and then there's also Bruford and Levin to bring the direction. Stunning. 9/10

King Crimson shows how you can stay relevant as a 70's dinosaur. They simply pushed the music forward in another direction. 5-star album for me.
