Il Tastiere
3 stars This album has been done in collaboration with the japanese group Hatoba, which mark this album as RuinsHatoba. In internet i didn't found so much of this external band but i though this is one of those very experimental and weird one... Anyway Ruins here are from the 3rd incarnation, that one with Ryuichi Masuda which made other classics ruins albums like Graviyaunosh or Hyderomastgroningem.

This album it's something REALLY REALLY weird!! First of all, i''ve notice a very bad audio quality that sure not help to enjoy this album. Probably every song is recorded in live playing in studio. The titles of the song are just hilarious and funny. How could you make a song named Paul mc Cartney?! or Olympic with Peter Gabriel!? Dada Panda!? DADA PANDA?!?! This album unfortunatley got very few good song, it start with Gom Devil which is ok, but then we have Paul Mc Cartney, where you can find moments of unexpected distortion (in the worst quality)and strange singing... Than the album follow with drum bass guitar and young, which is... What the hell am i listening?.. Than we have CD killers which looks promessing, it sound like a good Ruins song, with good vocals accompained by good drumming plus Hatoba s'member instrument. Going on this song become a mess, but i found this track very intresting. I think the same with Macrocosmic Microcassette, which include some good synth experiment. Then, to track from 6 to 24, we got songs which durate very short time, most of all less than a minute or 30 seconds, and it's totally messed up. Screams, random synths, distorsions caused by audio peaks, random drums, random instruments... well, this album will going on like this!! Then we reach Rock + 1, 24.45 of screaming! First 20.40 it's all screaming, but then the recording it's stopped and then we probably have the greatest highlight of this album!... I hear some arab words, which looks familiar to me... Is this Luglio Agosto Settembre (nero) of Area??? YES!!! I realize to hear an Italian masterpiece singed by japanese musicians!! Hearing Tatsuya Yoshida singing italian it's priceless!! For an italian listener it's really funny hearing him killing the italian language! You can hear something like "Bambini che il soRe, ha riRotto gia aaa aa, heee hiiii" or "non è coRpa se L'AUTORITà (which means "the autority") mi costringe a fare gherra a l'omertire"! This it something you got to listen, expecially if you're italian, you will sure have some fun!!

Anyway this it's a very strange album, surely this two band had a very great fun recording this album, but it's a weird experiment which very few persons could listen. This work is very similar to the Akaten duo, which include Tatsuya Yoshida and Tsuyama Atsushi, how make music also using objects of common use like jeans zip, toothbrushes and cameras shots to singn the time! A really creative band, i have one album. After this, RuinsHatoba (sometimes written Hatova) released other material, included a video a live and another studio album. The cover it's really funny, that guy with that smile and glasses it's genius, probably he laught beacouse he readed the titles of the tracks! Raccomanded to the very very opened mind listeners....... and Area fans? Be sure before buying!!
