5 stars "Father of night ..father of day"...begins this fabulous record with intervening mellotron, this is by far the most fantastic prog record ever recorded!! Manfred Manns Earth band he of sixties fame (several sixties tunes in top ten) turned progmusic in the seventies. This their most famous and most progressive record are a milestone in the progworld!!! The whole album are indeed a prog masterwork!! With the voice trimmings of mr. Thompson and the wonderous keyboards of Wizzard Manfred mann. The name of Earth band were on everybodys lips back then in the seventies!! And when you hear this wonderful recording you´ll know why!!! "Solar fire" are probably the most intense progtune ever. Just listen to the flavour of the tunes...then resemblance it to the light of day... yes...i know..its an absolute masterpiece!!! Manfred Mann rules!!! Mick Rogers are supreme on guitar !In addition make a note of the track:"Pluto the dog" However the main track:"Solar fire" are the absolute prog theme"!!! Now...no more wondering...you need to go get this!! Whats that? Didnt you hear me?? GO GET IT !!!
