2 stars Now i love atmospheric black metal, and ambiant/ drone, but to be honest i just didnt get this album, i loved the atmosphere for the most of it and got what they were doing there, but to be honest there really was nothing black metal about it, the vocalist just sounded like a sex offender growling away in the background especially for the first few songs, the last song (if you can even call them songs) simply called CHAPTER VIII was the most interesting track and kinda sounded like what Captain Beefheart would sound like on acid trying to play black metal and in a jam with Frank Zappa (now although thats not that bad of a mental picture, for a black metal album its just wrong)

The production for the majority of the album (taking into consideration that this is a black metal album) was very decent, it somewhat fits in with the black metal standard, everything not too high in the mix, especially the vocals..;

Chapter I - 2/10 Chapter II - 3/10 Chapter III - 2/10 Chapter IV - 3/10 Chapter V - 3/10 Chapter VI - 2/10 Chapter VII -2/10 Chapter VIII - 6/10

My Conclusion? now although i dont want you to stay away from this album at all costs, i would avoid it unless youve heard any of these guys albums before hand.
