5 stars 1. Airbag for haunting electronic pop, unstructured, saturated, defragmented rock with Thom's distinctive voice and this innovative ambient finale, it speaks because it's different 2. Paranoid Android with its tearful voice, a soft melancholy with an intoxicating beat, a heavy acoustic riff and sound effects that make your ears prick up; yes, the prog rock blood has really crept in... here with this hard riff from MUSE, them still in gestation; the religious choir suddenly, the angelic crescendo and we remain amazed and appalled by the extraterrestrial guitar solo; a sound from elsewhere indeed 3. Subterranean Homesick Alien with the reverberating, electric, ambient and metronomic slide guitar like these ethereal notes of the keyboard tinkering the old rock sound with the recent one made of samples, amen; The revolution is well underway and leaves one speechless in front of this prog sound made with non-prog instruments, but I understand myself.

- meeny: 4. Exit Music (for a Film) and the slap in the face for Jeff Buckley, who had served as a spyglass for RADIOHEAD, which is a good thing because at the time few knew about it; moving choruses on a period organ and the prog magic works; but how could one not know this band, this album, this track, unthinkable! The saturated, fat, vibrant rise, worthy of MUSE but much later; yes, there is a connection. 5. Let Down with its soporific drums, this nonchalant rhythm, the tune that makes you fall asleep standing up, only awakened by the refreshing guitar notes; a dark nursery rhyme track with vocals, the most RADIOHEAD, not to be forgotten; a sweetness 6. Karma Police for the Beatlesian air, languor and musical distress on Thom accompanied by a metronomic piano; saturating electronic finale; a major sound is on the way.

- miney: 7. Fitter Happier and its mysterious phrasing, a series of words for a code from elsewhere, from before, creepy, gradually addictive and deadly 8. Electioneering for a stressful electric concept bordering on psychedelic hard rock, or how to reject all rock instrumentation while still playing rock 9. Climbing Up the Walls follows on the same level of musical and electric saturation but with a tortured crescendo that can't stop; the finale leading to Thom's expressive cry, exhausting, avant-garde, I persist 10. No Surprises, precisely yes; for the surprise of this icy nursery rhyme with its ineffable air; the ballad that kills with pleasure with this poisonous lullaby tune with a major progressive overtone; or how to fall in love with the bell; in short, an excellent review.

- mo: 11. Lucky sets off for the arid lands of our westerns; no desert, no tuft of dried grass, yes, tumbleweeds, just Thom's intoxicating and sweet voice, just the solemn air of a future duel between the choirs and the organ, a fabulously retro and modern sound at once, caressing our memory. 12. The Tourist ends the album with yet another romantic-depressing ballad featuring Thom's melting voice, plaintive alone, tearful with the basic accompaniment of the guitar and the intrusive drum pad; the final rise becomes serious, oppressive with a rare, timeless guitar solo; great art for the time.
