4 stars I was VERY excited for this one since Wobbler is probably my favorite band formed in the last twenty years so... anyways I'll try to be as conscious of my own subjectivity as much as possible for the sake of the review. lars is insanely talented, really, his drums are on point (WHAT A SURPRISE!) and, as always, his keyboard playing is just superb, not only the virtuoso aspect of it but also the tone, that insane retro, vintage tone that only he can accomplish (as you see i'm being completely objective now). but well, ehm, ngl, vocals could. be. better. way better, not comparable with what the genius of ANDREAS do with Wobbler, that said, the storytelling is really compelling (even though I barely speak english besides my native language, so I could be completely misjudging), but yes, being a four song disc with four stories, perfectly described by him on his "behind the scenes" youtube videos (I really recommend you those, for a better understanding of the stories entwined on this record), you can totally feel how each song represents a totally different feeling and some kind of an epic story with dynamics and twists and turns, and so on; very well made musically and, as far as the translator goes, lyrically. bass playing is impecable and pounding, specially on the first track "Rytter av dommedag", which by the way, is my favorite "fortellinger" out of this record because of that incredible hook that just keeps coming and coming back with different layers of sound and absolute magic, man I really love this one, may be my favorite song in a long long time.

Second track is literally something Bach could've written then accompanied but some very RPI keyboards and a whole band, gotta love the melodies in this one. Third one's my second favorite, no doubt, so many layers of sound, and AND, AND THAT HARPSICHORD THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GUITAR! dreamlike qualities all over it, the mood and the ambience are just over the top!! aaaaaand last AND, yes, completely, least goes the epic Naturens katedral a gigantic mess drenched in keyboards that I can't really grasp completely yet, I enjoy it but I don't. half of it sounds weird and disconnected, may have to hear it another couple of times. thank you for your time.

BEST TRACK: Rytter av dommedag

WORST TRACK: Naturens katedral

(perfect example, composing an epic is not easy and it could be amazing or messy/incoherent)m
