4 stars In the mid-70s, the young American keyboardist Tony Carey miraculously joined Rainbow and had a decisive influence on the album Rising (1976), In 1978 he moved to Germany and a few years later founded the studio project Planet P, whose debut album was released in 1983.Planet P offered a catchy mix of AOR with a few progressive influences, pop-rock and synth-pop. The album was produced by Peter Hauke (Nektar,Epsilon,Omega) and was very futuristic for 1983. There are many SF/ inspired parts ,many sound effects which suit well with Tone's expressive voice and his skillful keyboard playing Some of my favorite songs on it : Static,Power Tools, Why Me, and "Only You and Me" the only song not sung by Tony Carey,
