WATERCOURSE WAY

This album stands as an important testament to the progressive creativity and nature of contemporary music. I believe the prog scene of the 70's is the real beginning of all modern music. People consider the Beatles to hold that position, but I firmly feel the essence of the progressive community is not solely the Beatles. The exploratory yet consistently emotive qualities to this album are wildly impressive from a band so close to my home. Chicago is not far. Watercourse Way is one of my all time favorite albums. I found it recommended by some rando on Discogs awhile back. Found a copy in Vertigo Records in Grand Rapids, MI. Couldn't fucking believe it, I was pretty happy that day after class. Found another copy there. Both originals. Sound great. Willing to let go of one of 'em to the right home! The album from start to finish is such an experience ending in a finely crafted ending that mimics many of my favorite prog albums?. That feeling of death. The whole album from start to finish feels like a monologue on my whole life past present future. Truly the album can be flipped right back around to give you another chance at life.
