This album is maybe not as essential as some albums from early seventies but it's still great album. On the other hand I think Bateless Edge could be considered as absolutely essential album in the jazz rock/fusion genre. I'll go even further and compare it to albums like Spectrum by Billy Cobham, Caravanserai by Santana or even some of the Mahavishnu Orchestra albums.

My favourite songs on the album are Under Wuhu Son and Move Over I'm Driving but for fans of more progressive sound I would recommend to pay attention to Pasta Fazeuhl and second half of Terra Sancta. This album proves that Frogg Café has bright future in front of them. Five stars from me.
