3 stars TELLAH were a Brazilian band who operated during the second half of the seventies, before releasing this their sole album in 1980. After this release the band slowly scaled down operations before that final farewell concert in 1984. The final two songs on this cd are from that live event, and they are bonus tracks. So ten tracks worth around 38 minutes. A couple of the bands that they used to open for gave them songs for this release. The production isn't great.

TELLAH were a trio of multi-instrumentalists, so besides guitar, bass and drums we get violin, piano and synths as well. All three sing in their own language, and we get harmonies. And this is very much in the Symphonic realm for the most part. The one song for me that stands out is the title track. It just has that emotional element and as a result it's quite uplifting. An interesting opener as it is an instrumental and quite bombastic, not my thing. For the most part the bass and drums impress. I do like the lead guitar which mostly soars.

I know better production would help but this just isn't a 4 star record in my opinion. Some pleasant music though that is quite enjoyable.
