4 stars This seventh tribute album revisits "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway," a major concept album in Genesis's discography, adding a more modern sound while retaining its musical soul.

Noteworthy are "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway," enhanced by a progressive ambient intro with brass instruments supporting the keyboards; "Fly on a Windshield" for its superb guitar solo, a very modern addition; and an expressive "In the Cage," with a symphonic trumpet section and a very dark flute outro. "Back in New York City" harks back to Big Big Train's overuse of trumpets; "Hairless Heart" becomes divine with Steve Rothery's contribution; and "The Chamber of 32 Doors" is boosted by its neoclassical-symphonic intro in the first half. Note the vintage keyboards in "Here Comes the Supernatural Anaesthetist" and "The Lamia," melting with realism and a magnified bucolic spirit; "Silent Sorrow in Empty Boats," with the choir sounding more majestic on these notes well inspired by famous extraterrestrial encounters; "Ravine" is moving with its sweep of violins; "Riding the Scree" is frenzied by the use of wind instruments; and "It" with its extended outro before the orchestral finale.

Dave reimagined this album as a symphonic film soundtrack combined with authentic rock instruments like Tony Banks' keyboards. A sound that boosts the original while retaining its tone, and twenty minutes of extended intros/outros, developed over more than ten years. Originally released on Progcensor.
