4 stars This is a band equally fundamental and underrated in my opinion. Leaded by the hammond sound played by Vincent Crane (already played on the seminal the Crazy World Of Arthur Brown), with guitars and voice from John DuCann and Paul Hammond replacing the great Carl Palmer (all of you surely know he joined ELP after the first album with the Rooster) on drums, the band built their best and more influential album for the years to come.

This is fulfilled with rocker anathemas of dark flavour where hammond is the highlight and really establish the atmosphere and sound all along the record. Being a mix of blues and rock with a very progressive approach, this is a good example of the 'heavy' sound of those years that will plenty satisfy Uriah Heep, Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple fans. Psychedelic and sinister aura join hands here, similar to the early Black Sabbath but in a more symphonic way.

Highlights are the title track, Tomorrow Night, I Can't Take No More and the blissful instrumental V.U.G.

R.I.P. Vincent Crane and Paul Hammond.
