5 stars Every early Bjork album could be counted on to yield 5 massive hits, and this one's no different: Hyperballad, Isobel, It's Oh So Quiet, Army of Me, and Possibly Maybe. On that basis alone, this stands as a major achievement.

Many of her fans consider Hyperballad to be Bjork's absolutely best song. While I disagree, it is an amazing song.

While upon release the album was considered by many critics to be a masterpiece, and a considerable development from her first album, time has dulled its impact somewhat, due mainly to the fact that Bjork's artistry was growing and developing further, resulting in the pinnacles of her vision, HOMOGENIC and VESPERTINE.
