This is a vision of the mid period CAN that never really manifested itself on record.

CAN's live shows didn't really lend themselves to representation. Sure, it was great to see them in the flesh, and to get a taset of what it must have been like to be in the studio with them as they laid down tracks. But whet you get here is very raw, unprocessed, undiluted CAN.

It's not to everyone's taste.

I cannot imagine if you only ever heard this collection you would be able to work out what the fuss was all about.

CAN made a few great records, and their live gigs were worth seeing, but not hearing.
