5 stars The beginnings of the group go back to year 1971, in Milan, after a fleeting passage by the group ` Dietro Noi Deserto', Antonio Bartoccetti forms next to Doris Norton (in keyboards and owner of an incredible voice) the Jacula group and record its first disc in 1972. Antonio interiorizó in the world of the occultism and oscurantismo, their creations and compositions are harmonies and melodías oriented to but hidden and the dark of our emotions, waking up in each one of us, a stranger feeling of which those melodías, simply cannot be created by a human being, or at least, not of whom this with all its senses in this dimension. Bartoccetti manages to express all its feeling by means of a church organ that in its complexity in the handling, makes ask us to us As it is possible to express so well and of a so clear way, an instrument so difficult to handle. The catholic church made public its rejection before Antonio Bartoccetti after which the rumor that was run it venerated Satan (to which ties its mysterious death and the one of all the members of the group). Jacula, in its album "I take Pede In Magiam Versus", is made accompany by Franz Parthenzy, a Medium who collaborated in dark sessions of invocations to spirits to help in the compositions and recordings of the subjects, in fact when listening the called piece ` Praesenti Dominí, it is possible explicitly to be listened to the invocation and veneration on some strange spirit and simultaneously be dazzled with the emotividad and brilliance of the beautiful voice of Fiamma Dello Spirito (since it is made call). The subject "Jacula Valzar" makes think you that, to vagar in the dark night by a dark enchanted forest and perhaps to be with fairies and nymphs, conducirte to the madness or the strangest country of the imagination can, without return... The beautiful narration of which it seems to be a story of 11 long minutes, in the subject "Long Black Magic Night", makes you think that until darkest and forgotten to be human it has feelings, but unlike which it believed, single narrates one long and dark night of black magic and its possible catastrophes to us. The instrumental subject "In Old Castle", does that all the narration of the previous subject felt copper, since it is not more than the continuation of this one, thus to form what was "Long Black Magic Night, In Old Castle". Investigating on the second disc of Jacula ` Anno Dominí, we found out that it was not possible to record it at its moment since no record seal nor wanted to tie with the work and the Jacula name. In 1978 finally the material could be recorded, but their compositions date from year 1969. Finally in 1992 the work of the band is published by ` Mellow Records'. The líricas and texts are compound in Italian and Latin. The fact to speak on the egoísmo, the arrogance, the misery and human decay, the vanity and the anxieties of being able, does that one, in more of some occasion, which feels for is or was their so particular concept. This disc according to I catalogue Italian of Music is category ` G' (Almost impossible to find). In 1978 and 1979, ` Antonius Rex' is born, that stops many was the continuation of Jacula, but in this project it is experienced plus the Jazz, which combined with the church organ, produces a very strange combination of sounds and emotions that single Antonio Bartoccetti can compose. Without doubt, to listen Jacula, it is necessary to be prepared. It is necessary to consider that we are not as opposed to any musical composition... we are as opposed to which it goes much beyond of simple musical notes. We are as opposed to sounds and melodías that can wake up the most hidden fears and monsters of our imagination, those that live and travel in the shades of our feelings and where summon up life our worse nightmares. Those fears and anxieties that in us grow since it makes the revenge before the resentment of our enemies.
