YS

"YS" is the darkest, wildest, weirdest and maybe most genial album of the Italian prog of the '70s. Written, sung and mostly played by Gianni Leone, a then-18 enfant prodige of the keyboards, "YS" a claustrophobic and apocalyptic rock opera about the last man on Earth. Not an easy album and definitively an album that needs several listenings to appreciate fully this masterpiece of Italian darkest and heaviest prog. Maybe we can complain the slightly irritant vocals by Leone or the not fully convincing lyrics (but I repeat that Leone was just 18 when wrote them), but "YS" is still a wonderful piece of work with an incredible set of complex keyboards part. Definitively a 5-stars album!
