I always found this album a little disappointing and having heard their live album "The Night Watch" now I know why - Starless was largely tracks taken from the concert, remixed, overdubbed, and in doing so much of the vitality of the live concert has been lost. Check out "The Night Watch" and you will find live versions of amongst others Fracture, Night Watch; and listen to Trio compared to the dull version on this album.

Starless & Bible Black has its moments but now The Night Watch is available they seem few and far between.
