5 stars A brillant recording ,that shows Kamelot are really one of the better bands with this style of music, with some real brillance .The black Halo sounds like Iron Maiden on Angel Dust ,it simply combines toughness with melodic power metal in away similar to Nightwish with similar great song writing but with a harder edge.Kamelot with this recording really leave bands like Rush ,Rhapsody, and Savatage in their wake ,and shows that epic power metal sounds awsome when its simple and direct and melodic ,not complex and pompous. The limited edition is very attractive ,so after a few listens to the Black Halo i find it the best recording of 2005.
