5 stars The sort of album that often gets criticism for "lack of originality" with a sound very much based on the classic prog of the 1970's but this album may take almost all of it's influences from the likes of Genesis and Yes it does maintain it's own sound which is instantly identifiable as Anglagard. From the first few piano notes on this album you know what you are in-store for. It is a feast of classic keyboard sounds, virtuoso playing and beautiful atmospheric symphonic music, everything prog should be associated with. Often records like this which recreate the prog of the 70's lack emotion but with this release Anglagard captured the raw emotion and feel of classic prog. This is a Symphonic Prog album through and through and should be heard by anyone who wants to know the genre. 5 Stars album and Anglagard earn any appreciation they get for an album of this quality.
