4 stars I am surprised to find this band listed in the Rock Progressivo Italiano genre. Their sound is nowhere near being Rock Progressivo Italiano and neither is their music. But I am sure more wiser persons than myself must have heard something I have not heard.

This just as a warning to those who believe this is another warm, organic album in the vein of Banco, Le Orme and PFM. It is most definate not. It is obvious that Nodo Gordiano has been listening to King Crimson a lot. Frippisms come thick and fast on this album. Another good reference point is Picchio Dal Pozzo and dare I say it...... Soft Machine. Gentle Giant can also be listed as a reference. In short; this album is somewhere between Canterbury, Eclectic, post rock and avant-garde. This album even includes some zeuhl like female vocals. So to put it even shorter than short; this album is more leaning towards the Italian avant-garde scene than the Rock Progressivo Italiano scene.

This album is interesting throughout. It is obvious that the band is really ambitious and is driven by the joy of musical explorations. The music here is well outside the box and really feels like this century instead of the last century. The sound is excellent. The music is guitar and keyboards based with some help from violins and woodwind instruments. There is hardly any vocals here at all. My only gripe is the lack of some really killer tunes here. Something that would had really given this album a classic status. But I really like what I hear here although I cannot really put my finger on why I am smiling like a cat slurping cream. Maybe because Picchio Dal Pozzo is one of my alltime favorite bands and that I also really like King Crimson. Hence; this album is really ticking off both boxes for me. I happens to think this album is an excellent addition to anyone's collection.
