3 stars when I first decided to buy a Zappa CD, I had no idea what I was getting into. I did not know what to buy because I did not know any specific songs or albums. For other people in the same boat, this is a good and inexpensive buy. It has a mix of live and studio songs, with tons of different musicians, including Steve Vai and Captain Beefheart. It has some great solos by Zappa, as well as some of his best humor. As for the actual songs, the live versions of Bobby Brown Goes Down and Catholic Girls are the best versions of the songs I've heard, so the album may not be bad for fans of Zappa with some of his other works cause it's so damn cheap.
