4 stars Folk rock ? Eclectic Prog ? RPI ? Avant-garde ? A lot of labels suits this band and this album. But I guess Avant-Garde is the right label. But this music have some tentacles into various other spaces too.

This is the debut studio album from these Italians. This band is regarded as one of the more exciting Avant-garde bands around now and I do not disagree. The music on this album is acoustic instruments based with strong vocals on the top of that. As in the RPI genre, the vocals are in Italian. This album is also blessed with some very strong melodies like Ci' che rimane, Fiaba and Claustrofilia. There are also a lot of cleverly crafted melodies who does not make an imminent impact, but who slowly but surely creeps upon the listener after some listening sessions. In short; there is nothing but quality here. The only missing ingredient is a true killer track. But that is only a minor gripe. This album is an excellent addition to anyone's collection.
