4 stars "Julia" was the reason I decided to search for this album. In Greece, where i live, this song is still played on the radio;so after listening it at least four times in three months I bought ''Pampered Menial'' knowing nothing else for this band. And what a surprise...this album proved to be a great piece of work.Ocasionaly more close to hard rock and even southern rock ( call me violin ) forms this album is full of emotion, passion and sweet melancholy."julia" is one of the best ballads i've ever listened to,and songs like ''theme to subway sue " ,''preludin'' (maybe the most prog moment of the album),''late november''and ''episode'' stand in equal high level. On the other hand I found ''fast gun'' and ''natchez trace'' a little boring, and i do think that some songs should last a little bit more, which of course is subjective.
