4 stars Well, it's been a long time in the making....A continuation of the Sentinel, Atlantean mythology given the old sci-fi makeover...all excellent stuff for a theme of a symphonic prog-rock epic. This is a solid 4 star effort, it has excellence in production, the required musical complexity and soaring themes introduced in the right combination. Now, maybe (I don't think that Pallas had the balls or maybe the inclination) if they had REALLY gone to uber-bombast and lengthened and extended some of the themes, then this would have been a 5 PLUS CD! I think that Monster and Alien Messiah and the XXV Parts one and two could have all been extended by at least five minutes apeice, thus using up the full 80 minutes and producing the type of symphonic prog that I just adore (Am I just being selfish again?) Pallas have a knack of using mellotron type keyboards to the best effect and I reckon that Mathewson should realise (like Stolte already has) that he needed to REALLY extend that epic guitar solo...Also they should have revisisited the march on atlantis riff and woven it into an epic instrumental track to end what would have almost certainly been the best CD of 2011 - as it stands I reckon that some more daring band are going to give us the mega -epic that takes that mantel. Anyway - it's good so I'd go out and buy it ! maybe they are crafty and are going to release a more bombastic CD next......
