It was with this album that my aversion to ELP was borne... I was a little reluctant to give it the lowest rating as it may just be that i failed to appreciate the technical abilities this trio are supposed to posses... but i found the tracks, especially karn evil 9 to be lyrically very weak and considering the supposed genious of emerson lake and palmer, quite unremarkable (even boring) musically. Pink Floyd, Genesis or even Rush offer more emotion, higher quality music and deeper lyrics. Avoid
