3 stars "Second to Sun" is the single from their recent reunion album "Jupiter", and though it is a great song and lives up to the material that Atheist has done in the past, it still seems like a regression from the fantastic album Elements. This track wouldn't be out of place on their debut album, "Piece of Time". Though this track is less prog and more tech than the band's strongest material, it still is a great example of technical metal. However, this single and the album "Jupiter" is the start of their reunion period, so maybe the band just needed to write this material to work up their chops, and the next album they offer us might be on par with Elements of Unquestionable Presence. One can only hope.
