1 stars This is the very first demo from Ancient if I am not mistaken.

This band was an outsider in the black metal scene in Bergen, Norway and is a curiously strange band. But on this demo cassette (of which I got a copied copy back in the mid 1990s) just displays three medium long standard black metal songs in the Venom/Hellhammer mould. Add Bathory and early Burzum too and you get my drift. The sound is very bad. In other words, typical demo quality from the late 1980s/early 1990s before everybody got fancy computers and top quality home studios.

There is nothing special with this demo cassette and the music is pretty dire black metal. There is nothing more to be said about this demo. Give this a pass if offered it on Ebay if you are smart.
