3 stars After the disappointing Presto, I confess I was totally curious about how Rush would give continuity to their creative music. Roll The Bones is an improvement related to its previous effort; but as it is not something so hard to be achieved due to weakness I found in Presto, it also does not mean we have something strong here.

Roll The Bones is an uneven album, a flaw fortunately not found in Presto. It is hard to relate it with any kind of musical ideas Rush always presented. We have here very beautiful moments like the opener and Ghost Of a Chance, although this one sounds too much like a poppy ballad; excellent ones like Bravado and Where is My Thing, and average ones like title track and The Big Wheels.

After all I get no difficulties in giving it three stars. This is an album I hear yet a lot, but after Bravado, it seems to take too long to come Where is My Thing ? And after it, there is no great expectance with what is yet about to come.
