4 stars A very dificult album to review, because there are so powerfull tracks in this album, but DT can do much better than this record(Images & Words and Awake are their finest works). What makes this record so dificult to review is the fact that IF DT have produced this album this could be one their best. But they fell into the record company's hands and they had to do what they want and DT is a band that makes great music on their own. They don't need a producer to tell them what is right or wrong.Still there are good songs here:"New Millennium",witch is to me one of their best songs, especially live."Lines In The Sand" is the better track with amazing guitar and keyboard solos, showing that DT can write in all styles of music,(here you can hear a litte of the Jazz vein of DT,simply great!)."Just Let Me Breathe" is the most powerfull with heavy riffs and great singing by James LaBrie."Peruvian Skies" is my favourite, maybe because of the Metallica aproach in the instrumental section."Hollow Years" is a good ballad but not their best(witch is Space Dye-Vest).The rest is also good but tracks like "Anna Lee", "You Not Me" and "Burning My Soul" sould given their place to stuff like "Raise The Knife" or "Metropolis Pt.2"(the one that DT have wrote in '96!).This is a good album, but for the hardcore DT fans this is a poor record and I can understand them. This album was made in very controversial circumstances and so you have to understand that this final product is NOT what DT tought it could be.Try the live stuff (Once In A Live Time or Live At Budokan), to listen to a much better versions of some of this tracks.
