THE STORM INSIDE

Dutch bands, how i love them. There seems just one single country that still produces old time Prog Rock. If you like the greats like Marillion (Fish area) and Arena, Grey Lady Down and of course the gigantic Twelfth Night, then you sure can add on Like Wendy. A strange name indeed but a very good singer (not as theatralic as Fish. Gabriel or Mann, but better than the singers with bands like Pendragon and IQ. The music is very melodic and most of the songs are ar 10 minutes of time. Its very difficult to find the CD's of this band at least from here in Switzerland. But if you have the luck, buy it and listen to songs like 'The storm inside' or 'Shine on memory' . Its perhaps the first of these Neo Prog bands where you can as well convince your girlfriend to listen and like. Its not so dark and spooky like Grendel -style Marillion. Is not as complex as Genesis and for sure not as heavy as kinds like Dream Theatre. The good Sunday morning progressive Rock to listen to. Great!
