5 stars I'm still not sure how it is that I've come across this album, considering that I've never heard of this band before, and that they are officially listed on this site as being in the "Experimental/Post Metal" genre. At any rate, this album is one of those increasingly, gloriously rare discoveries that are so absolutely unexpected.

This is the greatest album King Crimson never recorded. That might be one way to describe it. Another way: Imagine a complete album built on Crimson's "Starless" song - easily Crimson's most Floydian moment. And yet, you never get the feeling that this album is derivative of anything. It's an original work, and despite it being made in 2009, it's not "neo-" anything.

This is not a metal album. What it is, is a masterpiece of prog, an album that ranks up there and belongs in the same company as WISH YOU WERE HERE, CLOSER TO THE EDGE, SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND, and King Crimson's 3 from '73-'74.

You know how PA rates the top 100 Prog albums? Considering the high rating of this album, why oh why isn't this album in the Top 10 or 20? Seriously, I've been a visitor for many years and it took me this long to discover this album's existence, which is just a crying shame.

I can't say it any better than all the other reviewers have already put it. All I can do - and feel that I must do, that I have a responsibility to - is add my praise to the growing chorus, in an effort to get the word out.

This album is a masterpiece.
