4 stars Just Tori's voice a, Bosendorfer, another keyboard, in a historic venue with about 100 fans.

For this performance quite frequently she'll turn to the audience and use one hand on the piano and one on the other keyboard, but her love is clearly the Bosendorfer for two handed playing on one instrument. I maintain she can outplay even the best of the old school prog keyboardists.

The concert takes place in a rather old venue in New York called The Park Avenue Armory, in Decmber of 2009. She's built up an amazing arsenal of songs, so basically puts together a set spanning her career from Little Earthquakes forward. With such a large set of songs to choose from, not every album has a song played from. In fact pretty much of the entire set is comprised of songs where she had other musician's in the studio.

Can't finish without talking about the package - hard back DVD sized booklet chock full of information and some quotes. My favorite: "My piano plays me, I do not play it. And when you have such a sensual instrument, then you want her to play you and take over your being."

My favorite musicians really do become one with their instruments and Tori is one of those. This concert is a good demonstration of that.
