5 stars This was something special when it came out back in 1976. The overall ambience, the spacey sound of the electronic synthesisers, it was one along with 'Dark side of the moon' that you'd want to test on a new set of speakers/headphones. If you could only afford one of his albums, you're probably better off with 'The Essential' which features some of the best tracks from Oxygene, highlights from the very good follow up album 'Equinoxe' and the wonderfully atmospheric 'Fishing Junks at Sunset' ... I have played that track cranked right up whilst watching a magnificent sunset with blood red sky from my (then) top floor balcony, and it's a real treat.

As his first album, and a landmark entry, deserving of 5 stars. One that would probably enjoy further enhancement with a joint.
