DERRY TAPES

I was already impressed by the most adventurous parts of their studio album "Amplifeeding Fyrewarmtouch", i'm even more impressed by this very short (two pieces, for a total clocking at 13 minutes), but delightful '"Derry tapes" live record. A spacey fusion in the vein of the best Steve Hillage, still with the nice aerial Yes Fragilesque powerful and elastic bass sound, killer vintage synthe, fantastic guitar and even vocoder effects reminding of Steve Hillage's "Green" album. "Herbrush" is simply a spacerock masterpiece. No fault of taste here, a solid four stars, not five only because of the record's shortness. My favourite 90's prog.
