This is the fourth album from these masters of ELPism symphonic prog. Half of the Pompeii still sounds like an ELP clone. The other half sounds like a mix of a movie score, disco and German ompa music. The likes of James Last which was very popular in Germany and surrounding countries. A 100 million albums selling artist. Triumvirat too wanted a slice of this cake. That is obvious on this album.

The ELP clone stuff on this album is very good. The James Last/disco/movie score stuff not so good. But this is still a good album by all means. It really has some good stuff and it is a joy to behold for ELP fans like myself.
