3 stars Galleon's second album sounds a little bit tighter and more together than their debut to me, though on the whole they are still producing fairly middle-of-the-road, generic neo-prog material in a Marillion sort of vein. There's nothing altogether wrong about the album, but there's nothing wonderfully and spectacularly right about it either - it's a competently done collection of tracks with decent production and good performances, but the compositions are completely unmemorable, to the point where soon as the album's done I already can't remember what the first songs sounded like. Maybe worth a go if you are really keen on Marillion-inspired neo-prog groups, but there's plenty of better albums in this style out there.
