4 stars this album starts very well, with the rockers "brighton rock", "tenement funster", the classics of all times: "killer queen" and "now i'm here", the dark and powerful "flick of the wrist" and the beauty "lily of the valley". but after the operistic "in the lap of the gods", the album got some disappointing moments, like the pseudo-punk song "stone cold crazy", or the inoffensive "misfire". at the end, the album backs to a good level with the beauty guitar ballad of brian may "she makes me", and the super-powerful "in the lap of the gods... revisited".
